31 August 2009: Rob Rize - Phoenix Rizing / Barz And Stripez video

31 August 2009: Esinchill - The Fury EP

East Oakland representative and a former member of Digital Underground has dropped an EP album not that long ago. Esinchill is giving his project for free, so hit the link and download "The Fury" cd now! What's more, this EP is just a little teaser before he drops the full length album "Vigilante". The LP project will feature a street single called "Soul Of The City" with Dave Hollister. You can download the single from here. 31 August 2009: Big Slep Rock - The Rockness Monster

You should know that the 4th solo album from the Oak Park veteran Big Slep Rock is coming in October. It was supposed to come out this Summer, but unfortunately it got pushed back. Slep Rock brought you "Bread, Broads & Bangin" a year ago and now he's back with "The Rockness Monster". We managed to get in touch with the artist, so we know that the cd will feature 21 tracks with the production from Baby Bubb, Eric Turner, Goldfingers, E-Shurn and Mall-B. 31 August 2009: Darkroom Familia - Por Vida

Darkroom Familia members have been working hard recently. They focus both on releasing new and repressing the old material. After rereleases of such albums as "Penitentiary Chances", "Veteranos" or "Smile Now Cry Later" it's time for some more underground and hard-to-get stuff. "Por Vida" is an album that was once pressed in a very limited quantity (1.000 copies only). What is more it was a tape only release. Now it will hit the cd, it will be digitally remastered and will feature the "old DRF" line-up: Duke, Sir Dyno, Crooked, Oso, D-Roll, Dub, Young Ant, DJ MT, Never, Lil Wyno, E-Clips, Low, Cutty Face and more. "Por Vida" also features Taydatay and Boots Riley from The Coup. Expect it on October 20th.


31 August 2009: Tic & Melo - Money, Diamonds & Thizz

There's a new duet album that has just dropped under Thizz Entertainment. "Money, Diamonds & Thizz" is handled by two V-Town representatives: Tic (aka Trecherous Tic) and Melo. 27 August 2009: R.I.P. Tommy Blue Eyez aka Young Sinn of AOD

Rest in peace Tommy Blye Eyez aka Young Sinn who left this world on August 19th. A member of a group AOD, one of the first northern California artists we started collaborating with. He has also taken a major part in the recent compilation entitled "Killahfornia Hittaz". He has also started working on a solo project. You will not be forgotten.

If you are interested in Sinn's music visit his MySpace page. AOD's debut album "Noncomposmentis" has been slept on and we still encourage all you non-trivial rap enthusiasts to listen and to buy this untypical rap project. Listen to a few tracks posted on AOD's MySpace page.



27 August 2009: Funk Season

We've already written about "Funk Season" compilation back in February as it was supposed to come out in April. Well it got pushed back, but should hit the stores really soon. It is mainly showcasing the talent of the northern Cali Latin rap scene and will drop under the collaboration of Strong Arm and Thizz Latin labels. It will feature artists like Goldtoes, Turf Talk, Berner, Casper Loc, Rydah J. Klyde, Sleepdank, Javi Picazo, Tokztero, Tito B, Alcatraz and even some central coast artists like Fury and Smuggla. 27 August 2009: Laroo - Nuthin But Slap Vol. 9 - Demolition Men

The new chapter of the "Nuthin But Slap" series is already here. Once again the Demolition Men brought you over 30 tracks to listen to. San Francisco rapper Swinla is working on the new street album. 14 August 2009: Termyte - untitled

Latin rapper Termyte hailing from East Side San Jose will be finally out with his debut project November 11th. As he told us, there will be a full length album first, not the mixtape, as we thought. The project will feature Lil Coner, Big Oso Loc, Tito B, Big Tone, Davina, C-Locs and more. There's still no title for the album and the cover is just a sample version, yet some of you're impatiently waiting on Termyte's cd, so we thought we'd share this news. [ Tre Mak ] : For those who don't know me, I've been doing my lil independent thang out here in Sacramento, Ca for many moons now. Started off in a group (Point Blank) in 2001 and from there just kept pushin and floodin the streets and the net with hella music trying to make this solo leap to the top.

12 August 2009: Robb Cole - Hood Heisman

The new project from Sacramento's Point Blank Muzic is out here. It's another free product and this time it's a solo mixtape from rapper Robb Cole. The title is "Hood Heisman" and you can download it from HERE. Album includes 15 songs with guest appearances from Tre Mak, Young 5ive, Foss Da Boss, LT & Yundee. 11 August 2009: Nsanity presents Northern Cali Grinders

Be on the lookout for a new compilation from a Latin San Jose group Nsanity. The album called "Northern Cali Grinders" will be presented by Nsanity and will feature some of the greatest outta Nor Cal: C-Locs, Never, Lil Wyno, Mr. 21, Traficante, Big Tone, Ono Loco, Big Oso Loc, Keek Dogg, Mike D, Termyte and many many more. 09 August 2009: Strangulation IV: All Banged Out

We've just received a full tracklist for "Stragulation IV: All Banged Out". The album will drop this month under Smokie Loco's Evilside Records and will feature 21 tracks. 07 August 2009: Lil Rue - Fully Loaded

Even though Livewire Records is continuously dropping some new projects, we're still waiting for two constantly delayed albums. One of them is a collabo from Lil Rue & Lil Blood called "Shottas" which was scheduled for last month, yet it will probably hit the stores this October. The second one is a solo debut cd from Lil Rue which was about to drop in March. There're still no details on Rue's album, however there's a new cover and we know it will be mixed by DJ Fresh himself. We'll let you know if we get some more info on these releases.
