31 August 2010: Ad Kapone - Kingpin: The 6 Year Theory

Today's the official release for the brand new solo album by the East Palo Alto artist and a member of legendary Bay Area group Totally Insane - rapper Ad Kapone. The project is titled "Kingpin: The 6 Year Theory" and is for example available in digital format on Amazon. You'll hear 20 tracks with appearances by Goldie Gold, AP.9, Band-Aide, Chunk & more, plus a great line-up of northern Cali all-stars on the "Kingpin" remix with Mr. Kee, Baldhead Rick, Taydatay, Black C, SB just to name a few.

You might have had a chance to listen to this release as it leaked to the Net some time ago, but we highly recommend you to support artists and their music and cop the legal version. 31 August 2010: M Dot Brando & Regal - Pick Your Poison (free)

San Francisco representative Regal and Triple X Playaz member M Dot Brando have teamed up to bring you the "Pick Your Poison" album. It is available right now for free download from the official The Beat Cellar website. It features 100% exclusive production by and Jay Stilla and Regal. Among guest appearances you will see Big Mack, Mr. Kee, Killa Keise, Errelevent, Estairy, Grand and lots of other Frisco cats. 31 August 2010: Young Dru new releases

In the beginning of this month we told you about a few new releases from V-Town rapper Young Dru, however they were only available at RapBay. You can now buy them all at other retail stores and online spots. The latest cd by Young Dru is his solo project called "The Envy Of My Succcess" which features Indecent The Slapmaster, Rux, J-Minnix, Pody Mouf, Krypto, Nasty Nate, Cozmo and more; except for RapBay you can now also cop it on iTunes or eMusic.

The other one is a half solo half compilation album entitled "Game Will Neva Stop", which is also available on iTunes, eMusic or RapBay. It has verses by Dru, Baby Bash, Krypto, Big Perm, Pody Mouf, Acktup and others.


31 August 2010: Willie Joe - Focus (free)

Vallejo rapper Willie Joe has just brought you his new solo project called "Focus". You can now buy a hard copy directly from DJ Ambidekstres - who mixed the album - at his official blog page or you can check out a digital version of it at DatPiff.com. 31 August 2010: Duna & Taj Mahal - Fat Of The Land

Taj Mahal is an artist hailing from Tacoma, Washington. He should be familiar to Bay Area rap fans as we've heard him on loads of local projects. Now he's coming out with a solo endeavor supported and presented by Vallejo rapper Duna. The cover says it's a duet album, yet Duna is only featured on 5 cuts, so in fact it's more of Taj's solo. The album is called "Fat Of The Land" and it will be out on October 19th under R.B.B. Ent. and Thizz North West. It will include 12 tracks with production by Tryfe, Syko, Thizz NW, Trap Camp, JussFresh & more plus guest appearances by Duna, Messy Marv, J-Diggs, M.I., C.D. Sane, Silky Saucy & Havnot. 31 August 2010: Little Bruce - Uncorrectable

Little Bruce is a well-known Vallejo representative who's recently working on a brand new solo album. It will be named "Uncorrectable" and should be available on October 19th under High Speed Entertainment. 31 August 2010: Lil Blood - Heroin Music

Oakland rapper Lil Blood will finally bring you his solo project. After dropping a duet album with Lil Rue called "Shottaz" he'll be back soon with an album entitled "Heroin Music" which is dropping under Livewire and Bearfaced labels. You can already check out the videos for two streets singles of this cd: "Sell My Coke" with J Stalin and the latest "Stressed Out", which you can watch below. 31 August 2010: JB Da Original & Zak1 - It'z Nothin (free)

You now have a chance to listen or download the very first and underground album by two Bay Area rappers - JB Da Original and Zak1. It is called "It'z Nuthin" and is available now at DatPiff.com. It was originally released in 2003. The project includes 10 cuts with guest appearances by Killa Keise, Incognito Gino, Mr. Nacho & Desert Eagle. 30 August 2010: Menace 2 Society presents - Northern California Gangster's & Thugs

East Bay Area representative by the name of Menace 2 Society after bringing you the "It's Not A Gimmick" DVD is preparing a homeboy rap compilation entitled "Northern California Gangster's & Thugs". Get ready for various Latin artists bringing that northern gangbanging lyrics. You'll hear people from various towns: Vacaville (Lil Raider, Ono Loco, Never Sober), Fremont (Big Oso Loc), Decoto (Lil Coner, Tito B, Ace Of Spits), Antioch (Big Tone, XO Creep) and more. 30 August 2010: Sean B. - Cant Have My Money

209 artist, representing Modesto / Merced named Sean B. has already released such solos as "Only Me EP Part 1" and "Unconditional Volume 1". Now he's back with another project entitled "Cant Have My Money". Sean B. is known for his fine blend of rap and R&B. The solo is labeled as an EP as well, because it features 12 tracks, out of which 6 are new and 6 are bonus ones. You'll get production served by SuperStar O, J.Juliano, Ricky Rich, Unconditional M-Pyre, Ansane, Mister KA, Sean Divine and Blind Entertainment. 29 August 2010: Ampichino & Shoboat - Dead Presidents

Akron, Ohio artist Ampichino should already be known to Bay Area rap fans, as he has already released albums with such people as Berner, Jacka and he's also working on the one with Sacramento rapper D Rek. He's now working on another duo project with the Cleveland rapper named Showboat. Their joint endeavor will be titled "Dead Presidents" and is scheduled to be released on October 5th. So far we know it will feature appearances by Yukmouth, Berner, Freeze, Young Bossi and more. Peep Ampichino and Shoboat on their MySpace pages. 29 August 2010: Trigga Man & Sixx Figgaz - Caught In The Crossfire

Sixx Figgaz, the North Highlands representative, is working on a brand new collabo project together with Battle Creek, Michigan artist by the name of Trigga Man. They both go by the name of T.O.W. Trucc Boyz and their joint endeavor will be titled "Caught In The Crossfire" and is scheduled to be released really soon on iTunes. Pressed copies will be available some time later. It features 16 tracks plus 2 bonus solos. Among the featured guests you'll only find A-Dub and J. Dahm. 28 August 2010: Gorilla Gang - Apes, Grapes & Banana Clips

Killa Tay finally disclosed some official information about his group Gorilla Gang. The whole camp consists of Killa Tay himself, Mahem, Big Ju, Tha K.A.M.P., KJ, 1/2 Breed and Mr. Ruffin. Under PIIMP Enterprises they are going to release a double disc set album entitled "Apes, Grapes & Banana Clips" that should be out this October. 27 August 2010: Shigady - Hoody Harrelson: The Hood Spokesmen

Well, according to Shigady's MySpace page this Crest Creepaz representative has recently released yet another album. The new one is titled "Hoody Harrelson: The Hood Spokesmen" and is presented by Gitmo Ent. and Creephouse Ent. It features 17 tracks with features by Crest Creepaz, Sleepdank, Thizz Kids, Geezy and other local artists. Unfortunately this album seems unobtainable anywhere, even on-line. 27 August 2010: E. Klips Da Hustla - Pre-Suckafree E. (free)

The new solo project by the Sacramento artist E. Klips Da Hustla is available right now. The album called "Pre-Suckafree E." was digitally released on Mack-Town Ent. It is a free for download project with all solo tracks, except for one with Sellione Mackinstile. The whole production will also be handled by E. Klips himself. In fact this album is more of a compilation than a real solo, as the vast majority of the tracks feature lots of both well-known and underground Oakland artists. 27 August 2010: Meiko - iGet Paid

End of July brought an album by the South Sacramento rapper Meiko. The solo "iGet Paid" features 14 tracks filled with party-like vibes dedicated to all hyphy, care-free music fans. 26 August 2010: Stevie Joe - Cofee & Kush (free)

Oakland representative Stevie Joe has just released a brand new mixtape entitled "Cofee & Kush". It was mixed by DJ Rah2K and features 22 tracks with only a couple of features by Killa Keise, Jacka, Shady Nate, Maybach, Erk Tha Jerk and more. This is a free for download and most probably digital only release and you can take it for example from here. 26 August 2010: Hiway - Wayhi Certified Mixtape Vol. 3: R.T.I.

Hiway is a Humboldt County representative and a member of a large group Thic Family. He has already released 2 mixtapes from his "Wayhi Certified" series. August 10th brought two more parts - volume 3 and 4. Mixtape vol. 3 subtitled "R.T.I." features a lot of 22 tracks with such underground artists as Kyzer J, Big Slack, Lady Twist, Shocase and Peter Parker. 26 August 2010: Hiway - Wayhi Certified Mixtape Vol. 4

More news about Humbold County representative by the name of Hiway. We've mentioned that he released two mixtapes on August 10th. The second one is the volume 4 of his "Wayhi" series that dropped under Beautiful Boi Records. This time you'll receive 15 full-length tracks with all of them being solos apart from one exception by an Oklahoma underground artist Big Slack. 25 August 2010: Five-Hunnet - The Federal Reserve Note

Bay Area representative Five-Hunnet - who also released a couple of albums under the name 500 - is grinding really hard recently. Back in July he released "The Mnemonic" solo. Barely a month passed by and he's back with yet another one - "The Federal Reserve Note" under Big-Face Scrilla / New Money Entertainment. It's 17-song deep yet we don't know who's featured on it. 25 August 2010: Thic Family - The Family Crest

Thic Family is a megagroup hailing from Humboldt County in the 707 area code, mainly Eureka. The crew consists of such people as Thic Man, Hiway, Bentley, Deville, Topher G, Noslo, Krai and Big Daddy. They have just released a project entitled "The Family Crest" on Deathstar Records that is already available at CD Baby in digital shape. The cd features a lot of 21 full-length tracks with no major features - just Thic Family member on their own. You'll hear rap mixed with rock in their music, yet not always. 25 August 2010: Cali Boi - Global Grindin' Part 2 (free)

Humboldt County, 707 area code, representative by the name of Cali Boi is working on another mixtape. This rapper / producer is aiming to release "Global Grindin' Part 2" on September 22nd. It will be free for download, just as the first part. A little later pressed copies will be available as well. 24 August 2010: Mister D.O.G. - Streets Of Tha Tac

The most known Tacoma, Wa representative named Mister D.O.G. has just laced you with his 4th, official solo album as August 24th is the official release date for it. The brand new project by the Northwest veteran is titled "Streets Of Tha Tac" and you may get yourself a copy at a few selected locations (CD Baby), but it will soon hit more spots. There's a brand new Bay Area coalition named Four5Four. It consists of both well and lesser known California representatives: Traxamillion, Nump, Drew Deezy, Thai and IZ. It features a lot of 19 tracks and guest appearances by Glasses Malone, Matt Blaque, Goldie, Band-Aide, E-40 and more. 24 August 2010: D-Tun & 14-Gauge - Northern Threat

If you are craving for some Latin homeboy rap, you should know that two up-and-coming Sacramento representatives are cooking something for you. 14-Gauge and D-Tun of Magnificent Entertainment are out with their debut collaboration titled "Northern Threat". 23 August 2010: Big Omeezy - The Great Communicator

23 August 2010: Moe Green - Rocky Maivia (free)

Debut album by the Vallejo rapper Moe Green dropped this July. It's titled "Rocky Maivia" and was released under Interdependent Media. The cd features mostly solo tracks, you'll get only a couple of guest appearances by Ragen Fykes and O.A.K. You can already watch a video for "Ride":

22 August 2010: Key Loom - When Animals Attac Vol. 1

21 August 2010: Acktup - Talk Of Tha Town

There's a new solo album by the East Oakland rapper Acktup available now also in pressed format. The official release date for "Talk Of Tha Town" was August 17th. 21 August 2010: Ampichino & The Jacka - House Of The Dead

Be on the lookout for another duet album from Pittsburg & Akron representatives. The Jacka and Ampichino - known as Devilz Rejectz - are working on their new collabo cd called "House Of The Dead" which is scheduled for October 10th. This is a follow-up release to the 2007 album "36 Zipz". It will feature appearances by Yukmouth, Mistah F.A.B., Dubb 20, T-Nutty, Berner and many more. 20 August 2010: Hoodstarz - Controversy

It's not been long since the EPA duo The Hoodstarz released its recent album. I'm talking about "The Tonite Show" that dropped in the middle of July. They have just announced another official project entitled "Controversy" that is scheduled for October 5th. So far we know it's going to feature such singles as "Focus On The Money" as well as "Laughin". Expect to hear guest appearances by E-40, Gucci Mane, Glasses Malone, Big Rich, Husalah, Messy Marv and more. 20 August 2010: Shake Da Mayor - Stay Focused Be Great

Fresno artist Shake Da Mayor is almost done with his brand new sophomore solo album entitled "Stay Focused Be Great". Get ready for 14 tracks out of which the majority are solos. Two San Francisco representatives - Dregs One and Equipto - known for their lyrical approach to hip-hop are working on their collaboration project. 20 August 2010: Big Drawz presents Possession With Intent

Be on the lookout for a new compilation album presented by Big Drawz of 2-Illeven entitled "Possession With Intent". The digital version should be out on August 24th, however we're not sure about hard copies though. You'll hear a huge line-up of some of the best Northern California rappers.
