29 October 2010: Interview with Matt Blaque

BayUndaground.com had a chance to conduct an interview with one of the most talented and known R&B artists out of the Bay Area. Matt Blaque himself talked with us about his music - how it all started, how he met Mess, Jacka and Laroo, plus something about his previous and upcoming projects. [ BayUndaground.com ] : Tell us about the beginning of your adventure and the collaboration with northern California rappers. How did you meet such people as The Jacka, Messy Marv and Laroo?

[ Matt Blaque ] : After I released that album I went out on my own. I just started going around the Bay, you know like this is my home, so I'll travel all around the Bay Area and do hooks for the rap cats, the local guys around here. 29 October 2010: Dru Down - Chronicles Of A Pimp

East Oakland rap veteran Dru Down will be back on November 16th with a new solo album after an 8 year long hiatus. "Chronicles Of A Pimp" will include 17 cuts with verses by Yukmouth, Messy Marv, Keak Da Sneak, Jacka, Husalah, Lee Majors, Rahmean, Matt Blaque and more. 29 October 2010: V-White & The Politician - Stimulus Package

Two Oakland representatives - V-White (of Delinquents) and The Politician (aka Big Zeke) - are back again with yet another collabo album. They have already laced you with a joint project titled "Streets Can Vouch" this Fall, yet before you realize they hit you with the next one. The upcoming cd is titled "Stimulus Package" and it is scheduled to be released on November 16th. Expect additional verses by Too Short, Messy Marv, Guce, Eddi Projex, Beeda Weeda, Balance and more. The entire production will be handled by The Politician himself. 29 October 2010: V-White & The Politician - Cargo Van & California singles

As announced above two Oakland residents - V-White and The Politician - will soon lace you with their third joint collaboration project entitled "Stimulus Package". There are two singles promoting this album: "Cargo Van" with Beeda Weeda and "California" featuring Too Short and Ricky D. Peep the cover to both of them to your right. 29 October 2010: GMG - Lord Of The Bings (free)

GMG is a producer representing Humboldt County in the 707 area code. He has just released his debut album/compilation entitled "Lord Of The Bings". It's a producer's project, so GMG is responsible for all beats, while invited guests handle the verses. The interesting thing is that the whole cd contains samples from Led Zeppelin IV album. Even both the front and back cover refer to it. You will get 13 tracks with 11 full-length songs that feature vocals by such underground artists as Hiway, Kush, Sonny Wong, Callous and many more. 28 October 2010: PSD Tha Drivah, Messy Marv & Keak Da Sneak - Da Bidness Part II

Be on the lookout for a sequel album to the 2007 Thizz / SMC release from Bay Area most wanted trio made of PSD Tha Drivah, Messy Marv and Keak Da Sneak. 28 October 2010: Chief June - The Wait Is Over

Chief June is a member of an Oakland based group Mobbed Out. He has just dropped the solo album entitled "The Wait Is Over" under Til Da World Stops Entertainment. Expect 13 tracks with features by some well-known Oakland rappers like Dru Down, Lee Majors, Rahmean, Ike Dola and more. 28 October 2010: Young Liifez - The Street Album (free)

S.M.G. (Sac Music Group) and Str8up Music present a debut album by two Sacramento 16 year old youngsters D.R and Booda. The group goes by the name of Young Liifez and has just released its debut album entitled simply "The Street Album". You'll hear 16 tracks with a couple of features by local artists like Liq, Cash, Nino Black and John Famous. The cd is available for both free download and listen at DatPiff. 28 October 2010: Divided Allegiance - Seven

I wasn't even aware that Sacramento has its own underground, horrorcore representatives. Yet here it is: Divided Allegiance is a duo consisting of Preach and Keezy. They mix rap with rock elements bringing an untypical blend of aggressive vibes. Their new endeavor is "Seven", which is a reference to Seven Deadly Sins - the main theme of the albums. It features 12 tracks with appearances by Spliff, Cylince and N-Raged. Digital version is available right now at CD Baby. However be also sure to visit Divided Allegiance at its MySpace page. 28 October 2010: Tigue Wallace - Product Of The P

Tigue Wallace was born in New Orleans and moved to Oak Park, Sacramento at the age of 10. He has recently released a solo album under Gutta Gang Records. The name of the album is "Product Of The P" and it features 17 tracks with 15 full-length songs. 28 October 2010: E Dub & Killa L - Money And Muscle

E Dub and Killa L are East and West Oakland representatives. They're debuting as a duo under A-Wax's label Pie-Rx Recordz with an album called "Money And Muscle". The project should be out next week and it will be available in hard as well as digital copies. The label decided to support hard copies a bit more, as you'll get additional cuts, not available in iTunes version. Except for the title duo you'll hear additional verses by A-Wax, P-Coat, Ice Meez and more.


28 October 2010: Gorilla Gang - Apes, Grapes & Banana Clips

Gorilla Gang's double release is also available in retail, hard copies. "Apes, Grapes & Banana Clips" disc 1 and disc 2 are now in Rap Bay's store. You can still buy an mp3 version at iTunes. Good news for those of you who are not into digital releases. The street album by Stevie Joe that dropped sometime ago is now also available in physical copies. Purp Reynolds hails from Stockton in the 209 area code. We have already written about "The Street Star" mixtape that he dropped in June this year. 26 October 2010: Murda Macs - Game Enhancement

We're back with some fresh news on the upcoming Fairlas Records release called "Game Enhancement". Unfortunately it was pushed back a bit, but hopefully it will hit the stores this Friday - October 29th, while all the online spots should have it by November 14th. This album is more of a compilation, yet most of the tracks include verses by the title duo: Fairfield representatives Por Siempre and El Diablo. Except for them you'll hear Lil Duce, Pistol Cee, Redrum, Young Azz Cuttyboy, Mousie, Shadow, Louie Loc, Tito B, Lil Coner, but also some Bay Area legends like Mac Dre, Da' Unda' Dogg, Assassin and B-Legit. 26 October 2010: Mr. Kee - Straight From The Black-N-Brown Vaults Volume One

All Mr. Kee fans will be most probably pleased to hear that Black-N-Brown record label still has some unreleased material of his that will be available really soon. The first one to come is a solo with a lengthy, yet self-explanatory title "Straight From The Black-N-Brown Vaults Volume One". It is scheduled to be digitally released on November 14th - we are not sure about hard copies though. 26 October 2010: Gangsta Reese - Decade Deep (greatest hits)

X-Raided's label Bloc Star has already dropped some interesting projects, including one of the latest called "Bloc Bizniz", where you could also hear verses by C-Dubb and Gangsta Reese. Now the label is planning to release a set of greatest hits by Reese. This San Jose (yet currently residing in Sacramento) rapper will bring you a double dose of his previously known tracks with a few new, including the one with X-Raided called "Me, Myself & I". 22 October 2010: John Que & O.G.E. - Tango And Cash

John Que is a San Francisco veteran, however some of you youngsters may not be aware of his endeavors. Formerly known as Gee-Que he released such classic and nowadays sought-after solos as "Sucka Free City" and "Catch Me In The Wind" in mid 90's. He returned to the game in 2009 with a collaboration project "Duffle Bag Boys" recorded together with Guce. Now he's working on another duo album - this time with the fellow rapper O.G.E. "Tango And Cash" is scheduled to drop on November 30th. It will have 15 tracks and will feature guest appearances by Guce, Priceless, Mac of Mac & AK and more. We are back with more information from the North Highlands resident Sixx Figgaz. He's trying to keep the flame lit and brings yet another promotional album to the table. It is a third volume of mixtape series called "Quick Tape". It is more of an EP, as it contains a set of 8 tracks out of which a vast majority lasts for less than 3 minutes, hence the "quick" name. 21 October 2010: Lil Raider - Half Baked Vol. 2: Eye-Ball'n Ouncez

Be on the lookout for some new projects from Nasty North camp coming out this year. In less than 2 weeks you'll be able to cop a third solo by the Vacaville rapper Ono Loco. Monsta (fka Monsta Gunjah) is a member of Yukmouth's Regime hailing from Long Beach, Ca. He's dropping his new solo project called "Pacific Coast Highway" on November 1st. Bossquach is a San Jose rapper you may remember from "1800" project by two SJ groups: Tha Sav Krew and Tha Faculty, Ca. Bossquach is a member of Tha Faculty, Ca and is now back with his debut solo album. One of the founders of the hyphy movement - Keak Da Sneak - is working on his new official solo album. It will be called "Sneakacydal Returns" and will be produced by DJ Fresh & The Whole ShaBang. 14 October 2010: Yung Puppz presents Master Of Puppets Mix Tape Vol. 1

We are a little late with this news, however it's always better later than never. Salinas, Central Coast representative Yung Puppz has recently re-released his debut mixtape. "Master Of Puppets" originally dropped sometime ago, yet it was extremely hard to get. The new edition features a new cover (see to your right), new tracks and hopefully better pressing. Apart from Yung Puppz himself you'll also hear verses by Spun Loc, Kaos, Big Rome, Docta Evil, Nasty, Lil Teck and more local, underground artists. Sixx Figgaz - the North Highlands, 916 area code representative - is back at it again. He released yet another batch of free-for-download products in a last couple of days. One of the first is a duo collaboration mixtape with the fellow artist G.H. entitled "G6". It is more of an EP, so expect overall 8 songs with occasional features by O.D.G. and Acetrain. More information about North Highlands resident Sixx Figgaz. Another promotional album includes a second volume of mixtape series called "Quick Tape". It contains a set of 14 tracks out of which a vast majority lasts for less than 2 minutes, hence the "quick" name. Dox is an up-and-coming group hailing from Sacramento. It is made of Cash, Graphk, Styll & Digady. Some of them have their own albums out, but as a group they're debuting with the project entitled "Unorthodox". You'll hear beats delivered by L-Finguz, Sideshow, Doperock, Phokus & more. 14 October 2010: Young Dunnyz - Strapz And Packz Vol. 1 (free)

Young Dunnyz is a new group of Hunter's Point, San Francisco youngsters. The crew consists of C-Dubb, J Murda, Stu Banga and Yung Doe. The beginning of September brought their mixtape entitled "Strapz And Packz Vol. 1" - hosted by Polo Coat and released on ATNT Entertainment. As Slick says he's a "adrenaline junky", loves skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing and anything else that gets his blood pumping - hence the title and a cover of the cd. We're back with brand new, fresh interview with former 3xKrazy member - Agerman, who's been constantly lacing you with gospel rap albums throughout last couple of years. [ Agerman ] : Man "Stackin Chips"! It's my favorite album of that whole 3xKrazy career. "Stackin Chips" was the one, because we was focused, we was hungry, you know what I'm sayin' - we was fresh out. It wasn't we not been out, famous been makin' money from this. We was still hungry, so it was like man the creativity was big & we was all on one accord. We was all thinkin' the same, niggaz wasn't thinkin' I'm bigger than him, he bigger than me you know what I'm sayin'? We was just all hungry man & it made us become a unit, we was just lyrically unified & just man that album was BIG, mayne. That album sold like 400,000, almost gold, probably gold now. 06 October 2010: KJ - Game Bangin'

Fresno rapper KJ should be known to California rap fans who remember middle 90's. Back then he was a part of a group Kingpins Only and Dosia (together with Killa Tay and Lunasicc) that released the album "Waiting To Inhale". After that he only appeared on a couple of cds, so in fact it's been over a decade since he dropped an album. Now he's back with a solo endeavor entitled "Game Bangin'" which we have already mentioned. There's another project in works handled by Bay Area producers camp The Whole Shabang and Oakland rapper Sleepy D. Be on the lookout for a new collabo album by two of the most wanted Bay Area rappers - Andre Nickatina and The Jacka.
