31 January 2011: Keak Da Sneak - Sneakacydal Returns

Keak Da Sneak is collaborating with DJ Fresh to record the "Tonite Show" episode. The album will be named "Sneakacydal Returns" and should be out on February 15th. It will include 13 tracks with guest appearances by Yukmouth, Hoodstarz, T-Nutty, Shady Nate, Jay Jonah, D-Lo, Young Moses & more. 31 January 2011: M Dot Brando - On My Way

Summer 2010 brought the joint collaboration album by M Dot Brando and Regal entitled "Pick Your Poison". Brando - San Francisco representative and Triple X Playaz member - is working on yet another release that is scheduled to be out on February 1st. It will be presented by The Beat Cellar and titled "On My Way". It's labeled as "the official mixtape", but unlike we stated properly, it will be a regular, pressed album available at TheBeatCellar.com. 31 January 2011: Big Tone - From The Streetz Of California

One of the most prominent northern California Latin gangsta rap artists - Big Tone, Antioch, 925 area code representative - is going to release his fifth solo album this Spring. Watch out for "From The Streetz Of California" to drop on April 14th. From what we know this will be foremost a solo endeavor, yet you will also hear guest appearances by Shadow, B-Dawg, Tito B, Laced and more. That's not all, Tone's record label Sav-It-Out Records plans to release more projects in 2011, including the long awaited solo by Shadow, so stay tuned to BayUndaground.com for more information.


30 January 2011: M Dot Brando - On My Way

Summer 2010 brought the joint collaboration album by M Dot Brando and Regal entitled "Pick Your Poison". 30 January 2011: Cris-G - Real Simple

We have already informed you a couple of times about projects of Hayward based record label Scripp Block Muzik and its CEO Big Lou. He has already released a couple of noteworthy projects including the most recent "Life's A Gamble" collaboration recorded together with Lil-O and Big Riggz. All Scripp Block Muzik albums were reviewed by BayUndaground.com staff - read the articles here.

The most recent milestone is a solo by Cris-G whom you could hear on all Big Lou's projects. His debut record titled "Real Simple" hit the stores about 2 weeks ago. From what we know you won't hear the mob type music that Scripp Block got you used to. Instead it is more of a lyrical hip-hop. Expect 13 tracks wit features by Plain, Big Lou, Ash, Big Riggz, Lil O, A.R. and more. "Real Simple" is available in Rasputins, eMusic and should hit iTunes soon as well. 30 January 2011: Philthy Rich - Trip'N 4 Life

Philthy Rich has recently brought his new official solo album to the rap table. "Trip'N 4 Life" is available now online in most of e-music stores like Amazon, CD Universe and RapBay. You should already be familiar with the new Bay Area record label called DLK Enterprise that has been featured on our website numerous times with news articles, reviews and interviews with Telly Mac and Dirty J. 27 January 2011: AP.9 & Shill Mac - Nuthin But Slap Vol. 10

We have already written about the upcoming part of "Nuthin But Slap" series way back in 2010. It should have dropped long time back, but for some reason didn't. Fortunately now we are told that collaboration between Demolition Men and AP.9 & Shill Macc is soon to be here. The album is scheduled to be released this February. Volume 10 includes a lot of 32 tracks with - obviously - numerous verses by AP.9 and Shill Macc. Other than that you will receive many guest appearances by the likes of Husalah, Jacka, Balance, Killa Keise, J Stalin, C-Bo, Gorillapits, Killa Tay, Lee Majors and many more. 26 January 2011: Joe Blow - You Should Be Payin' Me

The new solo project by the Oakland rapper Joe Blow who's now signed to The Jacka's label is out today. The album is called "You Should Be Payin' Me" and was presented by The Jacka himself. It includes verses by Mob Figaz, Scoot Dogg, J Stalin, Lil Rue, Cellski, Lee Majors, Yukmouth, Dubb 20, Dru Down, Ampichino, Young Lox & more. 25 January 2011: V. Jones - Influence & Affluence

Richmond representative V. Jones is back with a sophomore solo album. His debut double cd album "Black Legacy" dropped in 2008 and was even reviewed by BayUndaground staff (read the review). Now you can check out his new endeavor entitled "Influence & Affluence", which for now is available only on CD Baby in digitals, yet we'll let you know if hard copies are pressed as well. 25 January 2011: Key Loom - When Animals Attacc Vol. 1

Salinas / Sacramento rapper Key Loom (fka Key Locc) is finally out with a new solo album "When Animals Attacc Vol. 1". It was released under Nutt Factor / Black Armor labels and features 22 cuts with guest appearances by T-Nutty, Luni Coleone, Cool Nutz, Fat Tone, Young Bop, Young Keise & more. 25 January 2011: A.G. Cubano - Chase Paper

There are finally hard copies of the new solo album by the 650 area code representative A.G. Cubano. His new cd is titled "Chase Paper" and was released under Baysick Clothing. The beats on over 20 cuts were brought by Traxx FDR, Amplified, Hundreds, Loo E, DJ Rek and others people. The album includes guest appearances by K-Loc, Young Dru, Killa Keise, Shill Macc, Berner, Philthy Rich, Stevie Joe, Remy Red & more. 24 January 2011: Ben Davis - Forever Heavy Sidin In The "V"

Central California record labels Recognize Entertainment and Must Not Sleep Records are soon to be finished with their joint project by the artist Ben Davis. This Visalia, 559 area code representative passed in May 2010, but is said to have left a whole lot of recorded tracks behind. The first installment of his endeavors will be titled "Forever Heavy Sidin In The "V"". There's no exact release date, but labels told us it's going to be out pretty quick. Expect to hear a lot of 20 tracks on this one. We're also back with a detailed tracklist - you can peep it below, however please note that it might change. 24 January 2011: Frankie Hood - Definition Of A Hoodlum

There's more to come from the Tulare County based record label Recognize Entertainment. Apart from Ben Davis' cd (see above), the company - together with Zyplok Muzyk - is going to release a solo album by artist Frankie Hood. He also represents Visalia in the 559 area code. The upcoming album will be titled "Definition Of A Hoodlum" is set to drop this Summer, so it's still some time. However we already know it's going to feature a gang of homeboy rappers from Central Cali like Baby Boy Ene, Juney, Smokey, Definit, Yung Stackz, Kriminal, Sonny Boy Lokzter and more. 24 January 2011: Unknown - Tha Soundtrack Of My Life: Mixtape (free)

Ex-Darkroom Familia member and a Modesto, 209 area code representative by the name of Unknown will soon re-appear with his new solo album entitled "Tha Soundtrack Of My Life". In fact it's more of a mixtape / promotional product, as it will be available for free download on February 1st. Even since his second solo "Addicted To The Hustle" that dropped in 2007 he hasn't really released anything. This mixtape will be an introduction to his subsequent projects, as he's got bigger plans for 2011. Stay tuned, we'll lace you with more details pretty soon.


24 January 2011: Badd Blood - Thicka Den U Thought

Even though we lace you with tons of news articles, there are still a couple of 2010 releases that we missed. For example the hereby Badd Blood group album representing various cities in the Bay Area. Badd Blood consists of Loc Da Smoke - formerly known as Mr. Loco - and Penn St8. By the way, peep the interview we did with Loc Da Smoke in July 2010. The name of the project is "Thicka Den U Thought" and it comprises of 17 full-length songs with a couple of features by DJ King Assassin, C-Siccness, Mc Ron, Young Gas-O-Lean and Krazy J. 24 January 2011: Loc Da Smoke - The Disciple Of An Assassin Vol. 2

Bay Area artist Loc Da Smoke, formerly known as Mr. Loco, is also almost finished with yet another solo endeavor. His upcoming solo record will be titled "The Disciple Of An Assassin Vol. 2: Tha Mainstream Killa Mixtape". 23 January 2011: R.I.P. Lofty

Rest in peace to the rapper named Lofty who died in a motorcycle accident. This Vallejo representative is most probably known best for his "In The Beginning" debut solo that dropped in 2005. He's been networking with Jay Tee and was a member of late N2Deep - check him out on "The Movement" project from 2008. What is more, you can watch for a couple of days a brand new video for the track "Livin' It Up In Vallejo, California" that features Lofty and Jay Tee. Click below to see it. 23 January 2011: Trey C, Playa Rae & Tha Critic - Face Time

Be on the lookout for a new group album by Bay Area trio made of Trey-C, Playa Rae and Tha Critic. These San Jose cats are working on the official cd called "Face Time" which will include guest appearances by Smigg Dirtee, Stik Gilatine, Royalty, C-Rena and Boy Rowe. The project will include a bonus DVD movie with the recording process, road trips and behind the scenes footage. The album should be out in February or March. Stay tuned to BayUndaground.com.


23 January 2011: 10sion - Real Habla Volume One (free)

It's been a minute since we heard something new from the 650 area code representative by the name of 10sion. Well, it's not much, but a few days ago he put out his new promotional project for free download on Band Camp website. 22 January 2011: Major Gang - Major Gangland

Check out the up-and-coming group out of the 209 area code called Major Gang. They've just brought their debut album to the streets. It is called "Major Gangland" and is now sold out the trunk, but soon should be available on iTunes and CD Baby. The group consists of five young artists: Beef, Young Blakk, B52, YG & Sipp. Their project dropped under Minor 2 Major Ent., not as the cover suggests - Tree Camp Ent. - they told us they left the label. Anyway, the track listing includes 21 titles and features guests like Dav, Treechoppa, Mac3, Beatgoods, Young Jeezy, Drake & Mali Antionetee. 21 January 2011: C-Dubb & Young Loc - Risk & Revenue

Be on the lookout for a new collaboration album from two Sacramento representatives: C-Dubb & Young Loc. C-Dubb should already be known to most of you, as he has already released a gang of solos, including the most recent one "The Curse Of The Gifted". While Young Loc debuted in 2009 with "South Sacramento Born N Raised" that got reviewed by BayUndaground staff. Their duet project will be titled "Risk & Revenue" and will be released under Nasty North Records. The cd will include street anthem "Huggin The Game" which features Messy Marv & Lil Raider; it will also feature guests like Hollow Tip, Ono Loco, Zipper Louie, T-Nutty & more. There's no release date yet, but we'll definitely let you know once it's set.


20 January 2011: Conspiracy N Sandman present - Bizness Men Part II

Conspiracy is a Marina, 831 area code representative who brought you the "Lil Town Savz" project recorded together with the fellow rapper Young Savi in 2010. Now he's planning to begin 2011 with the compilation entitled "Bizness Men Part II". It's a follow-up to part one that was released in 2008 and even got reviewed by the BayUndaground.com staff - read the review.

Conspiracy and Sandman are planning to release this brand new compilation before March 14th, however it is possible that we'll even see it in Febraury. Get ready for a lot of 21 tracks. The two hosts will have numerous verses on the hereby project, but you will also hear a gang of featured artists, including Black C, Young Savi, Louie Loc, Casper Loc, Ace Of Spits, Da' Unda' Dogg, Salineros, King, AK and more underground 831 cats. Up-and-coming rapper DB Tha General from Oakland has just laced you with another project. Today is an official release date for the latest Yumouth's project that was recorded along with DJ Fresh - the man behind the beats. 15 January 2011: Guce presents Giants & Elephants Radio Vol. 1

Guce is back with the follow-up project to his 2009 duo album with J Stalin. "Giants & Elephants Radio Vol. 1" is though only a set of mostly recycled tracks, but might be a must-have for all die-hard fans. 15 January 2011: Agerman - The Streets Made Me Do It

Be on the lookout for a new official solo project by the Oakland veteran known for the membership in one of the most legendary Bay Area groups - 3xKrazy. 15 January 2011: Hongry - Seek And Destroy

Richmond artist Hongry, that you could've heard on the Nio Tha Gift's albums, is working on his solo joint. He is coming out with a mixtape project called "Seek And Destroy" this February. 15 January 2011: Semi-Auto - Thug Bizniz (EP)

This may not be strict northern California release, but hey, it's another project dropping under X-Raided's label - Bloc Star Entertainment. This time X's company took Denver / Oklahoma rapper Semi-Auto under its wings and will be presenting his upcoming projects: an EP and an official LP album. January 28th will bring you a little teaser - an EP called "Thug Bizniz" that will feature guest appearances by Gangsta Reese, Mr. Groove, Playboy7, Tripple Double & more. Big A is an up-and-coming San Francisco representatives who released a free solo mixtape in Summer 2010 entitled "Digital Crack". You could also see a lot of his videos in our Videos section. Conspiracy is a Marina, 831 area code representative who brought you the "Lil Town Savz" project recorded together with the fellow rapper Young Savi in 2010. Now he's planning to begin 2011 with the compilation entitled "Bizness Men Part II". It's a follow-up to part one that was released in 2008 and even got reviewed by the BayUndaground.com staff - read the review.

Conspiracy is planning to release the brand new compilation on March 14th. It will also be presented by him and Sandman. You will hear a gang of artists on this one including Black C, Young Savi, Louie Loc, Casper Loc, Ace Of Spits, Da' Unda' Dogg, Salineros, King, AK and more underground 831 cats. 12 January 2011: Versatile Minded - A New Breed

Homeboy rapper Mr. G hailing from Visalia (559) in Central California hooked up with Phat Joe to create a duet album from Versatile Minded. Their collabo project will be called "A New Breed" and will feature Bandit, Big Body, Franky Hood, Lil Boss, J-Rock, Antique, Trump, A.D., Shawny Monsta & many more. Female rap artist Spittlez - born in Chicago, now living in Sacramento, Cali - has just dropped her debut solo album under the wings of Sacra rap veteran - E-Moe. Her project is called "All About The Hustle" and was released under PayStyle Music. The cd is available online in digital shape on iTunes and CD Baby. The production was handled mainly by E-Moe himself, while the remaining tracks were brought by Chocolate Ty, Nicatyne, B.C., Crystyles & more. 10 January 2011: Point Blank Muzic presents Muzic 4 Tha Mobb vol. 2.5 (free)

Sacramento based record label - Point Blank Muzic - has also recently released another part of "Muzic 4 Tha Mobb" compilation series. In fact it's sort of a bonus album as it is labeled as "volume 2.5", while episode 3 hit the streets in 2010 and 4th part early 2011. Parts 1 and 2 were only available for digital download, with no units pressed, so Point Blank decided to include 11 tracks from both of these compilations, throw in 6 brand new ones and have it pressed. Therefore expect lots of verses by such artists as Tre Mak, Robb Cole, Ya Boy Yundee, Krytykal and Young 5ive. There's also Purp Reynolds, Baby Bubb, Doey Rock and more. It was supposed to drop back in 2010 and the release date was changed a couple of times. Latest announcement is that it will be out on March 15th under Git Paid Music Group. Frisco Street Show is working on a gang of albums under a joint name "Best Of Frisco Street Show". As of now we know of 4 different projects that are going to be released on February 15th, out of which each is handled by a different Bay Area rapper. Hosts include Jacka, Husalah, San Quinn and Messy Marv. All covers look similar to the one to your right, only the color scheme changes. You'll hear from 16 up to 21 tracks with features by Killa Tay, Cellski, Keak Da Sneak, Kurupt, Yukmouth, Mac Mall, Rydah J. Klyde, Dru Down, Dubb 20 and way more. These albums will most probably include only the previously heard songs.


02 January 2011: Brotha Lynch Hung - The Gas Station Mixtape: The Second Fillup

Welcome to 2011! What will we see this year? Well, apart from a couple of releases already mentioned previously in December, you should be able to grab the second installment of Brotha Lynch Hung's "The Gas Station" mixtape series, this time subtitled "The Second Fillup". Madesicc Muzicc has not disclosed too much information right now, so we only know that it is scheduled to drop around February / March.

Second good news is that Brotha Lynch Hung is also working on another full-length solo project. The highly awaited "The Coathanga Strangla" - which is a second part of a trilogy - is scheduled to be released this April by Strange Music.
