31 March 2011: Ceelow, Big Oso Loc, Lil Teck & Yantz - Talez From Tha N

All homeboy rap fans should be looking out for a new collaboration project by Fremont representative Big Oso Loc and 831 area code artists of Salineros coalition, that have recently brought the second installment of their "Down By Tha Bowl" series. The upcoming album will be called "Talez From Tha N" and will be hosted by Ceelow, Big Oso Loc, Lil Teck and Yantz. The cd will be released under Active Ent. There's no release date yet, but stay tuned to BayUndaground.com as we'll definitely keep you posted on this one.


31 March 2011: Young Mix - Red Cups & Grapes

San Francisco based rapper Young Mix is working on the new solo project called "Red Cups & Grapes" that will be out soon and will feature tracks like "Otha Shit" and "City Life" with Yarrow Slaps that both feature videos that you can watch in our Videos Section. Also be sure to visit his Facebook fan page and peep BandCamp site where you can download for free his previous street album.


31 March 2011: Meko McAfee - The Anti Virus

East Side San Jose representative Meko McAfee will be out with an official solo album this April. The project will be called "The Anti Virus" and will include tracks like "Supreme Supremacy" and "Feelin' Fresh" with KC & Preast that have already leaked to the net. We'll lace you with more details soon.


31 March 2011: Tae & Savon Rene - J.O.B. (free)

Tae and Savon Rene are two high school youngsters repping 510 area code. They released their free-for-download mixtape entitled "J.O.B." today. The whole project was influenced by Wiz Khalifa and weed smoke. You can download the cd from DatPiff. This is a digital only release, so don't expect any hard copies. 30 March 2011: A-Wax - Nightmare From Elm Street Volume 3

Be ready for another portion of new joints by Pittsburg rapper A-Wax as he's coming out with the third installment of his "Nightmare From Elm Street" series. There's no release date yet, but we know that the album will include original beats by Vybe Beatz, Jaywan, Phonix, Nonstop, Bean One, Kajmir Royale, Josh Franks, Exzakt & more. 30 March 2011: Smoov-E - El Joy Del Sexo

Sebastopol rapper Smoov-E will strike again with another, 11th solo album this April. "El Joy Del Sexo" will only feature Andre Nickatina and will be out on April 19th under R.E.A.L. Records. Let me quote City Hall Bulletin as they've nicely described the content of the upcoming cd: "A Latin themed album that mixes 1980's drum machines, traditional Latin hand percussion, synthesized bass lines and Smoov-E's lover boy image all into one tight package".


29 March 2011: E-40 - Revenue Retrievin: Overtime Shift

Today is the official release date of a double album by Vallejo rap veteran E-40. His sophomore "Revenue Retrievin" series is subtitled as "Overtime Shift" and "Graveyard Shift". Disc 1 called "Overtime Shift" includes 20 songs with guest appearances by Black C, B-Legit, Bosko, Laroo, Guce, J Stalin, Beeda Weeda & many more. 29 March 2011: iStandard Producer Showcase - Bay Area Edition

BayUndaground.com is now also supporting the Bay Area Edition of iStandard Producer Showcase events which are taking place in Oakland (Tuesday, April 26th at The New Parish) and San Francisco (Wednesday, April 27th at The RockIt Room). Over these 2 evenings, 24 producers will showcase their tracks in front of an esteemed industry panel and the most vibrant setting! Winner will receive a prize package consisting of a Novation Nocturn 25, IK Multimedia SampleMoog & Amplitube 3, Ableton Live Intro and much more.

So far confirmed judges for this event are J Ellis (A&R for Rap-A-Lot Records), Klypso (Producer for Ne-Yo, Chris Brown etc.), Cozmo (Producer for Berner, Bun B, Baby Bash, Scarface etc.) with many more to be announced...

E-Ferocious is a San Francisco representative who's currently working on his third solo album entitled "Born 2 Win". He's also a CEO of Sharpshootaz Ent. that will release this project. It is still labeled as "coming soon", what we know though is that it will feature 20 tracks with appearances by San Quinn, Big Rich, Stevie Joe, Kaos, Young Boo, A.G Cubano, Shill Macc and more. 28 March 2011: Federation - Grown Man Musik

Great news for all Bay Area rap fans. Federation is back with the new full-length album! Goldie Gold, Doon Koon aka Doonie Baby and Stressmatic will soon release their new project entitled "Grown Man Musik" which is scheduled for April 12th. We still don't have too much information, what we do know though is that it won't be entirely produced by Rick Rock, because the artists decided to bring a slightly different style / feel to the table. 28 March 2011: Baby Bash - Bash Town

Worldwide known rap celebrity Baby Bash from Vallejo, California has recently brought his new solo project to the market. The album is called "Bash Town" and includes such singles as "Fantasy Girl" with Marty James and "Go Girl" with E-40 that both feature videos. Watch "Go Girl" below:

Zumbi and Amp Live, better known as the Oakland hip-hop duo Zion I, have teamed up once again with the rapper Grouch to release a collaborative project. "Heroes In The Healing Of The Nation" is their sophomore joint venture that is available now in hard copies and digitals at major online stores like iTunes and Amazon, plus the official Zion I website. San Mateo rapper Savage-C (of Nocturnal Hustlers) will flood you with his new projects this year. He's already come out with a solo endeavor called "The Garbage Pail Kid". Next to come is a duet cd with San Leandro artist Mista Cane. Their collaborative work will see the daylight this April and will be called "They Listen Closer When You're Dead". 25 March 2011: Kobra Abysmal aka K.O.B. - Reporting Live From Guantanamo Yay (free)

This January we wrote a news article about "Hungry As A Hostage" solo album by V-Town artist Kobra Abysmal aka K.O.B.. It is scheduled for this Summer, so it's still some time until it hits the streets. In order to quench your thirst Kobra decided to release a free mixtape "Reporting Live From Guantanamo Yay" that is hosted by DJ Bankroe. You can listen to / download it from DatPiff.com. 25 March 2011: Sixx Figgaz - Ga To Cali Vol. 2

We have already laced you with much information on the musical endeavors by North Highlands representative Sixx Figgaz. His 2011 official solo album "Tha Grind" was even reviewed by BayUndaground.com staff - read here. He's now networking with Georgia producer King Braswell and both are planning to release Sixx' solo album "Ga To Cali Vol. 2" - obviously entirely produced by King Braswell. It is said to have a limited number of features. It should be out on April 12th. 24 March 2011: Outrageous - Expect The Unexpected

BayUndaground.com team has already laced you with much information on the West Coast artist Outrageous who has released a bunch of mixtapes, a full-length solo, I-5 Connect group albums and more. He has big plans for 2011 and the first one to come is a street album entitled "Expect The Unexpected". It is available right now both in physical and digital copies. 23 March 2011: Cali & Kodak present The Emerald Hustle Compilation (free)

Cali Boi - Humboldt County representative - now known as simply Cali teamed up with the fellow artist Kodak to present "The Emerald Hustle Compilation". You might have already heard about Vallejo group named B.A.Y. and Rapshack Records. They have released (at least) two official projects and a bunch of promotional albums, one was even reviewed by BayUndaground.com staff:
B.A.Y. - Grind: Intent 2 Sell (read the review)

Two of its members - J Dub and Junco G - decided to record a joint collaboration project. Their duo endeavor is titled "Winters Fall" and is available for free download / listen at DatPiff.com. It's a street album with all original production by Focus, P-Lo, The Counselor, Rob E, TY The Artist, SoulBoy, Inspired Minds, Joey Cool and JustinKase. 22 March 2011: C-Dubb & Young Loc - Risk & Revenue

Be on the lookout for a new collaboration album from two Sacramento representatives: C-Dubb & Young Loc. C-Dubb should already be known to most of you, as he has already released a gang of solos, including the most recent one "The Curse Of The Gifted". While Young Loc debuted in 2009 with "South Sacramento Born N Raised" that got reviewed by BayUndaground staff. Their duet project will be titled "Risk & Revenue" and will be released under Nasty North Records this Spring. The cd will include street anthem "Huggin The Game" which features Messy Marv & Lil Raider; it will also feature guests like Hollow Tip, Ono Loco, Zipper Louie, T-Nutty & more. There's no exact release date yet, but we'll definitely let you know once it's set.


22 March 2011: Never Die - Sundays In The Lab

18 March 2011: 530 Factorz - self titled

Be on the lookout for a new group presented by Sacramento beast Hollow Tip. His latest protegees are Grass Valley rappers called 530 Factorz. The group consists of Kurt Kain, Mac Mike, Tystick, Greg Christ and Ice Stokes - all representing Grass Valley in the 530 area code. 17 March 2011: Conspiracy - G'z And B'z Mixtape

Marina, 831 representative Conspiracy will please his fans with a mixtape project before he releases the anticipated "Bizness Men Part II" compilation with Sandman. March 15th 2011 was a sad day for the whole rap world as another great artist passed away. A huge talent, legend of RnB and veteran of hip-hop scene Nate Dogg has died. Even though he was representing Long Beach in L.A. he was known to every Bay Area rap fan as he was collaborating with such northern California stars as E-40, Yukmouth, Baby Bash or Mr. Kee. To honor his music we attach one of his most known tracks - "Regulate" with Warren G.


16 March 2011: Young Crayze - Kush Kommittee: Street Kingz Edition (free)

Back in February we informed you about two free projects brought to you by Darkroom Familia affiliate named Young Crayze. This San Francisco representative is not planning to stop as he's already out with yet another part of the "Kush Kommittee" series. The brand new "Street Kingz Edition" is available right now. 16 March 2011: Street Connect Soundtrack and DVD

2Face Entertainment is a 831 area code based record label run by Grindhouse fka Gemini. Fans of underground local scene and readers of BayUndaground.com could already hear about solos by such artists as Gemini and Yun-Gun. What is more, 2Face dropped an album by Young Blaze in 2010 titled "Blaze 2 Richez" that even got reviewed by our staff - read the article.

Grindhouse has been working hard on the DVD recently. "Street Connect" is not your typical rap movie filled with fights, flossing, i-candy etc. You should rather get ready for a real-life story of an independent hustle. It was filmed in various cities including Soledad, Salinas, Marina, Seaside, Castroville, Watsonville, Merced and many more. The screening / release party will take place in Soledad on April 15th.

What is more, there will also be a cd soundtrack for it. It will feature 17 tracks that were most probably heard before, as a majority of them are taken from other projects, so don't necessarily expect something entirely new if you are a fan of 831 rap scene. The father of sick and twisted northern California rap - Brotha Lynch Hung - has already pleased his fans with the "Dinner & A Movie" long play back in 2010. 07 March 2011: Sliggitay - The Moustache (free)

Berkeley up-and-coming artist named Sliggitay has just released his debut street album entitled "The Moustache". He was a student at Harvard University, but due to charges turned towards rap. "The Moustache" is filled with humorous lyrics and non-standard topics. What is more, this project is available for free download from his BandCamp page, so give it a try. Cobalt45 is a Modesto, 209 area code, rap artist. In fact he's more of a hip-hop MC. He has recently brought his first official self titled solo project. It is basically a solo endeavor, but you will also get a couple of guest appearances by Equipto, Scarub, 2mex, Jabber Jawz, Ive So Ignant, Looney209 and more. Production is handled by Joey-T. Back in February we informed you about two free projects brought to you by Darkroom Familia affiliate named Young Crayze. This San Francisco representative is not planning to stop as he's already got two more "Kush Kommittee" solos/compilations on its way. The first to come is "Street Kingz Edition" that is going to be available on March 14th. All 20 tracks feature Young Crayze's verses, there are even a couple of solos. The rest features local underground artists like J-Pry$e, Chompz, Jay Da Butcher, Klever and way more.

03 March 2011: Outrageous - Expect The Unexpected

BayUndaground.com team has already laced you with much information on the West Coast artist Outrageous who has released a bunch of mixtapes, a full-length solo, I-5 Connect group albums and more. He has big plans for 2011 and the first one to come is a street album entitled "Expect The Unexpected". You will see it this month, on March 22nd, in both physical and digital copies. The solo will feature Matt Blaque, Goldie Gold, Chosen, San Quinn, Checkin' Trapps, Logics, Durranged Pit and more.
