29 September 2011: OEM - Bacon Bread Backwoods

Central Coast hip-hop group named OEM has already laced you with free projects this year. If you search our news section you should find download links for such projects as "Zerk Soup Vol. 1" and "User Unknown". Well, not long ago they also released a brand new "Bacon Bread Backwoods". In order to download it visit OEM's blogspot page. You will hear 18 songs filled with vocals by JPsnow, Chubbs, Shizz, J-1 and other local artists. San Jose rapper TC Kapone hooked up with Big Lou from Hayward to release a free-for-download album called "Side Hustle". Their joint project is now available for free download and includes 16 tracks, out of which most feature both rappers. Guest appearances include Conspiracy, Teazem Beatz, Lil-O, YDMC, J Rock and Reccless. 17 September 2011: Smoke & Dub - Street Sense Pt. 1

Even when you're a strict northern California rap fan you should be familiar with Northwest label by the name of Street Level. They've released over 20 albums from Seattle, WA artists within the last decade. BayUndaground staff has even had a chance to review one of its really great projects - I.K. "Kash Me Out" (read the article). After a couple years long hiatus the label is back with their new album from I.K. / Full Time Soldiers representatives Smoke and Dub (fka J Dub). BayUndaground.com has a pleasure to co-host a brand new mixtape release by Hayward resident Hooli Automatic. This artist has already been for several years in the rap game. He laced you with such solos as "A Revolution Iz Born", "All Ears On Me", "Thug Legacy". He was also a part of Savage Life with Daddy Rich and dropped a compilation. It's 2011 now and he's back with a promotional, free-for-download product titled "Yes The Best! Mix Album". Bay Area based trio called Trinity Deep (made of D-Varg, Neillmatic & Nik-Nak) hooked up with a famous RnB performer Matt Blaque to record a joint single titled "Summer Got A Hold Of Me". The song was produced by Rob-E and features a hot of the press video which can be watched below:

There's a new official statement brought by City Hall bulletin saying that the upcoming Tonite Show with T-Nutty will be released on November 15th. The cover is also slightly changed - a bit more gloomy and dark. After a 2-year hiatus Crestside veteran Mac Mall is back on the stage aiming for a new, official long play solo album called "The Rebellion Against All There Is". The project will be released this November under Thizzlamic Records. What's more it will be entirely produced by a well known, veteran producer - Khayree. These two haven't been working together for a long long time, so it might be quite a phenomenon to hear their joint material again. So far this year was extremely fertile with DJ Fresh production. He has already dropped The Tonite Show projects with Yukmouth, Deltrice, Young Skeam and Lil Rue, not mentioning other albums that he brought his beats to. He's also aiming to release more this year, including more Tonite Shows with T-Nutty, Mr. Tower and Beeda Weeda, plus exclusive productions for cds from Young Gully, HD and D-Lo. Horrorcore rap fans are not necessarily spoiled, as northern/central Cali rap has a little to offer in this field. Obviously there are a couple of notable figueres like Brotha Lynch, Redrum, Lo-Dub, Mars, Kung Fu Vampire and others. Nevertheless it's not too much.

There's a new group that will soon release its next project. Buck-1 and U-Turn hail from a small town of Oroville in the 530 area code and their duet is named Head Hunterz. They work with One8ghty Studioz and On The Money Productions to bring you "A Box Of Bladez" full length album. It is recorded, mixed and mastered by DJ Loot and features 13 tracks with features only by Crash Money and Casper. Buck-1 and U-Turn handled production on their own. You should already be familiar with a Redwood City rapper Zak1 that is responsible for such projects as "Shortstoppn'" (read the review) or a duet cd with V-Boy called "B-Boyz 2 D-Boyz" (read the review). If you managed to read our interview conducted with Zak in 2010 you might know that he's working on a second installment of "Real. Life. Soprano" mixtape. Volume 2 will be an another collabo album - this time Zak1 hooked up with San Francisco native M Dot Brando, who has recently dropped a mixtape entitled "On My Way" (read the review).

BayUndaground.com has already written about this project a few times and we're back again with a new release date. "Real. Life.
