28 March 2014: Sleepy D - Don't Go To Sleep

East Oakland representative Sleepy D might already be familiar to Bay Area rap fans because he had a chance to drop a few projects, including "The Tonite Show" with The World's Freshet, a solo called "Sleepy Deprivation" and "The Active Tape" with Prince Lefty & DB The General. Even though he's just got locked up his next album - "Don't Go To Sleep" - is scheduled to drop on April 1st. 28 March 2014: Lavish D & Messy Marv - Disrespectful

You've probably heard about the beef between Oakland rapper Philthy Rich and SFC rapper Messy Marv holding on with Sacra representative Lavish D. These last two came up with a joint project called "Disrespectful" that includes a response to Philthy's "Internet Thugs" diss. The album is available in digital version on CD Baby. 28 March 2014: Cousin Spook & Lil Rue - Blessed With Tha Connect

Patterson (209) representative Cousin Spook hooked up with Oakland rapper Lil Rue to bring you their collabo project titled "Blessed With Tha Connect". You might have already heard of The Gatlin - Sacramento representative who's been featured on BayUndaground.com News Section a couple of times with his projects "Passages Of The Nameless", "General Millz" or "Kingz & Queenz". Rapper has recently brought his new music to the table called "Stoners Jacket" which is available for free download on BandCamp; you can also get it in pressed digipak - contact rapper via Facebook. The album includes 10 cuts with guest appearances by Joezy Wells, D Boi, JG MadeUmLook, Mic Jordan, Celsius and Infiniti. The Gatlin is aiming to bring his new official solo album titled "Cutthroat Solitaire". 25 March 2014: Malice - Westbound & Down

We've already told you about this one, but there wasn't a release date set; until now. May 29th will bring you a brand new solo from Healdsburg / Santa Rosa representative and a member of Apt.3 record label named Malice. If I'm not mistaken this will be a double album with about 50 tracks with guest appearances by Ray Luv, Mars, The Game, ADR Lavey, Triple X, T Spoon, Tunez and others. 24 March 2014: Stevie Ray presents 40831 Compilation

We've already written about numerous underground projects by the Paybak Muzik camp out of Salinas in the 831 area code. However the upcoming "40831 Compilation" presented by Stevie Ray is going to be a full-length, official release with original production and what not (the cover to your right is a draft though, new will shall come). The comp is meant to unite artists that helped bring the Central Coast on the map, so expect to hear people from such towns as Salinas, Soledad, Castroville and more. Features include the likes of Stevie Ray, Yun-Gun, Tha Grindhouse (fka Gemini), AK 372, King, DEA, Superior 1, Big Rome, Bigg Spank and more. Another important part of the record is the producer Lexo Syl who prepared the majority of beats. Production is said to be dark on this one, so expect low bass, ominous piano etc. Beats were also done by DJ Mix & Spin, Jason Porter, King, Bk Beats, Dilom and Unknown. Today's an official release date for a duet album from Hayward rapper Big Lou and South San Francisco representative Flyboy Stewie. Their joint release "The Workaholics" dropped under Money N Muscle. Big Riggz is one of the main artists of Scripp Block Muzik record label from Hayward, run by Big Lou. 13 March 2014: Renz Julian - Thug Scholarship

Bay Area rap fans should already be aware of Renz Julian. This West Oakland representative put his first mark on the rap scene back in 1999 when he dropped an underground release called "Fingaz Of Gold" under the name Playa Renz. Later he brought a couple of mixtapes ("2 The League", "Armageddon", "Legal Crack", "Alphabet Hustle"), a self titled EP and an official "Armageddon" solo project. It's been a minute since we heard a full-length album from Renz Julian, but soon we'll get a brand new release titled "Thug Scholarship".
