28 April 2015: Ya Boy - Rich Rocka II

Back in 2013 Fillmore rapper Ya Boy (aka Rich Rocka) dropped the "Rich Rocka" project; since then he released "Allegiance" and now he's about to bring his fans the second installment of his Rich Rocka's anthems. You can already listen to 3 tracks from "Rich Rocka II" on Ya Boy's SoundCloud. The album should be available in May. Be sure to visit the rapper on his Facebook page and follow him on Twitter.


28 April 2015: Doc 9 - Art Of War / War Games

Porterville rapper Doc 9 is far from spoiling fans with his new material. So far we've had a chance to grab one solo "City 2 City: Un4givin Streets" (read the review) and a duet album recorded with B-Dawg (read the review). We've heard about the sophomore solo at least a few years ago, but it never dropped. Hopefully we'll see it this year, because Doc 9 has recently posted a new cover artwork and some details. There is no release date yet, but we know it will feature guest appearances by Shadow, A-Wax, Berner, San Quinn, XO Creep, Smokie Loc, Lil Toro, Conspiracy, Tony B, Travieso G, Chubb G and more. 26 April 2015: Loc2DaBrain - The Asylum EP

Brotha Lynch Hung / Siccmade fans should be familiar with the rap group Loc2DaBrain. Back in the 90's it was a coalition of Sacramento rappers (mostly from Garden Blocc) Brotha Lynch, Loki, Zigg Zagg, G-Macc, Mr. Doctor, DE, Hystables, Baby Reg, 8-Ball, Foe Loco, Dizz, Gangsta Kat, T-Tay, Beware, Big Dan, Big Q and Cedric Singleton. As far as I know the group has never released any project, but you could hear it for example on "No Face Killaz" compilation. It appears that in the last couple of years the team is slowly rebuilding its ranks. Some of the original members quit the crew (e.g T-Tay is now known as Surrenda and is doing Christian rap), but you'll definitely see a few of them. It was around a year ago when a young Oakland representative Skitx dropped a free-for-download version of "Toxicity" project (available on DatPiff). Now the project is also available as an official street album with a slightly different track listing. The project is produced by Jayrok and features 11 cuts. 23 April 2015: Bigg Quint & Jay Hustler - Think Bigg

Elder Bay Area rap fans should be familiar with Big Quint - a member of San Francisco Hunter's Point group called U.D.I. (Under The Influence). As a duo they released three albums and were a part of "Unexpected: U Didn't Know??" album. Jay Hustler also hails from San Fran and has already released a few solo projects ("A Hustlers Promize" in 2012, "Shakin Up The City" in 2013, "YouTube Mixtape Vol. 1" in the end of 2014).

Bigg Quint and Jay Hustler teamed up to record a duet album titled "Think Bigg" which is officially dropping on April 30th. It will be available in both digital and pressed version. You'll get a set of 13 tracks produced by Raymond Nevilles, C-Dubb, Tension Beatz and more. This one is officially dropping on May 5th, but pressed copies are already available through TC Kapone himself or via eBay. "Street Vision" includes 17 tracks with guest appearances by Yung Puppz, Conspiracy, J Rock, Jay Mackin, Casper Capone, DJ 40oz, Teazem, Lil Sneaky, Goldtoes, Vatani, Skrilla Sam, Durrty D, Boogie Locs, BC and Samantha B. 22 April 2015: Troublez - Grandma's House

Moot Ditty and Reedcardo represent West Pittsburg. Moot debuted as a kid back in 1994 on his brother's (Gelo) cd - "Havin' It My Way".
